Black Bean Brownie Recipe 🍫🫘
Anne wanted me to share my black bean brownie recipe with you all.. I hope you enjoy!! ❤️ It is definitely still a dessert, but a bit healthier twist to a normal brownie.
Black Bean Brownies
Ingredients
1 15oz can black beans (rinsed and drained)
3 large eggs
3 tablespoons flavorless oil, like canola or avocado
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar- free chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350* F. Purée black beans in food processor or blender. To the blender, add eggs, oil, and vanilla. Blend until smooth.
In a separate bowl, combine cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, then stir in chocolate chips.
Line an 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish with parchment paper, then grease with a little bit of oil. Pour in batter and bake for around 25 minutes for 9x9 pan, and around 30-35 for 8x8 pan. Bake until edges are visibly cooked and the center doesn’t jiggle much when you shake the pan. Allow brownies to cool before cutting. Enjoy!

I have a question that I honestly want know.
What is the point or motivation of making Black Bean Brownies?
Does it just substitute black beans for flour? Everything else seems the same. Is it to avoid gluten? Is it to get protein? I just don’t understand. Please explain.
